I am a UKCP registered Supervisor and Training Supervisor.
I offer individual clinical supervision for senior trainees and qualified therapists. I can also offer group supervision to small groups of between two and four people.
My approach to supervision is, I hope, inclusive and supportive of good practice and self-care. I aim to support a rigorous self-reflective practice aimed at helping you to work at relational depth with your clients. My core theoretical approach is integrative and relational, with an emphasis on unconscious process linked to contemporary Psychodynamic and Attachment based concepts and practice.
I am Head of Course, core tutor and clinical supervisor on the MA/PG Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice at the Minster Centre. This is a course for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists wishing to further develop their practice, work at greater relational depth and gain further qualification, including UKCP accreditation. learn more
I am also lecturer, academic tutor and clinical supervisor on the MA/PG Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Minster Centre, teaching the Third year ‘Contemporary Theories’ module.
I was for many years a lecturer, academic tutor and supervisor on the MA/PG Diploma in Contemporary Psychodynamic Counselling, at the University of Hertfordshire (now closed). I have taught, provided supervision and facilitated groups for several other training courses across a range of modalities and approaches.
I have extensive experience in working with people living with severe and enduring mental health problems, and of providing support to those working in this field. I am able to offer clinical support, consultation and supervision for managers and case workers in NHS, social services and the voluntary sector.
